Your commitment
means so much to our hospital partners and the many patients they serve. The blood
donations collected are critical to maintain a stable blood supply for
surgeries, medical emergencies, and for supporting patients battling
life-threatening illnesses like leukemia and other cancers. When you
donate or help coordinate and promote a blood drive, you are saving lives!
Here are the results for Saturday, June 1:
Registered Donors: 23
Whole blood units
Collected: 18
After the whole
blood unit is tested, it is broken down into three components: red blood cells, plasma,
and platelets. This means that
together, your whole blood donations will impact the lives of up to 54 patients in our
local community. Thank you, we couldn’t do our work without you!
Congratulations to the donors who reached a gallon milestone! We would also like to welcome 10 first time donors to Bloodworks Northwest. We hope you had a great experience and will donate with us again.
Those who successfully donated will be eligible to donate whole blood again on July 27. To find a mobile blood drive in your area, please visit: www.BloodworksNW.org/drives. We look forward to seeing you all again!
